Anaheim train station12/9/2023 Top marks to a transport system that clearly has ensured that its drivers are alert to customer needs. All the drivers we encountered were similarly kind, friendly, thoughtful and very helpful. Instead of having to wait at the interchange we had been delivered to the hotel door. It was late, we were tired and did not know the city at all, so were surprised and delighted when the driver announced our hotel. On our first night we had not worked it all out, so found ourselves on a bus going to the interchange centre at Disneyland - involving a change of buses to get to our hotel. The centre itself is much as most bus interchanges - however, the ART drivers are exceptional. Service is 'as promised' in regard to travel and wait times and buses are comfortable and easy to access [even with a 'moon boot' on. This is a central interchange point for the 'ART' transport system in Anaheim is a relatively low cost and highly effective means of getting around the Anaheim area of Orange County. Much easier than driving to San Diego from Anaheim! This is a really nice facility, and I'm sure I'll be back to ride the train again. I wasn't super uncomfortable, but I did eventually go outside and just stand on the train platform with other riders for an hour before my train. Another guy with mental issues was ranting out front. I was there at 9:30 am on a Saturday morning and there were two women taking a bath in the sink. Be aware that a lot of the local homeless population like to hang out in the station, especially the bathrooms. You'll find a selection of vending machines which are nice if you want a snack, and a library kiosk if you want to borrow a book for your train ride. There's a help desk on the first floor if you need it, and restrooms throughout the station. I finally figured it out, but it wasn't easy. I started to panic because I couldn't find a sign board that said what platform I could find my train. I left my car overnight with no problems. The station is located at the site of two former Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway combination depots. It serves Metrolink trains as well as Orange County Transportation Authority buses. The lot isn't well-secured, so I wouldn't want to leave my car for more than a couple of days, max. Orange station, formally the Orange Transportation Center, is an intermodal transit station in Orange, California. The signs aren't very clear, so just note that you must park in the rear. The lot to park is in the back of the station (Lot B), which confused me a lot. You must register your car online at least 24 hours before your trip. You can get FREE PARKING at this station for up to 14 days. I did some research and decided to do it, leaving from the ARTIC station. Anaheim Canyon station is served by 14 Metrolink Inland Empire-Orange County Line trains (7 in each direction) each weekday running primarily at peak hours in the peak direction of travel. I didn't really want to fight that horrible traffic on a weekend, so she suggested I try the Amtrak train.
